Income tax: there are 3 income tax rates in Britain :

  1. Up to £1500: 10%
  2. Up to £28000: 23%
  3. More than £28000: 40%

Capital gain tax: there are no capital gains tax (CGT) on a profit made from your primary home.

Wealth tax: there are no wealth tax.

Inheritance tax: 40% if more than 231000 Pounds (seek expert advice).

Value-added tax (VAT): 17.5% on levied on most goods and services.
